Load Distribution Factors For Horizontally Curved Composite Concrete-Steel Girder Bridges

This paper focuses on Load distribution factors for horizontally curved composite concrete-steel girder bridges. The finite-element analysis software“SAP2000” is used to examine the key parameters that can influence steelgirders. A parametric study conducted load characteristics of such bridge system due dead loading and AASHTO truck using finite elements method. considered in this are: span-to-radius curvature ratio, span length, number girders, girders spacing, lanes, conditions. results have shown most critical factor which plays an important role design Span spacing generally affect values moment factors. Moreover, present reveals Guide criterion treat bridges with limited as straight one conservative. Based data generated from study, sets empirical equations are developed steel I-girder when subjected loading.
